Heavy Duty Diesel Technician
Job Overview:
Alvin Equipment is a 72-year-old Kubota dealership serving the farming, construction and consumer markets in Brazoria/Galveston County. Alvin Equipment is a 3rd generation company who prides on excellent customer service and taking care of their employees. We are looking for AA technician who would takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of a winning team. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related equipment.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair engine malfunctions, electrical systems, and other mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts that need replacement
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engine problems accurately
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electricial and hydraulic systems used in the repair of equipment
- Must own tools applicable to the position
- Ability to operate forklift, farm and construction equipment
- Must have a valid drivers license
- High school diploma or GED
Skills:
- 5 years of previous experience as a mechanic working on farm machinery or construction equipment repair
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
