- Conduct thorough assessments to determine the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop personalized treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of interdisciplinary patient care plans tailored specifically to physical therapy.
- Administer diagnostic and prognostic tests to evaluate the muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities of patients.
- Effectively alleviate pain, enhance function, and optimize performance using a variety of physical therapy techniques.
- Educate and guide patients and their families in the physical therapy program.
- Coordinate outpatient services for procedures that cannot be conducted at home.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of evaluations, treatments, and patients' therapy intervention responses.
- Provide supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants and paraprofessionals.
- Graduate from a Physical Therapy school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association, in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Must hold a valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Hawaii.
- Minimum of one year of institutional/home health experience is preferred.
- Successfully complete a criminal background check.
- Must possess a current CPR certification.
