Overview
CANDIDATE RESIDENCE - MIAMI, FLORIDA
Work Territory: Caribbean, US Territories (PR & VI), LatAM (US South Central Region - GA, NC, SC, FL, AL, KY, MS, TN, VA and WV
The Account Manager is responsible for selling AM Best's online subscription-based financial products and for maintaining favorable customer relationships in order to increase revenue in specific US Territories and the Caribbean. This consultative sales role involves face-to-face personal sales, supplemented with phone and e-mail correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Continually develop new prospects and business development opportunities within the defined territory
- Bolster existing customer relationships and provide continual value to their organizations to increase customer satisfaction
- Conduct technical sales presentations including live product demonstrations and informative web conferences
- Produce accurate, effective sales proposals and submit contractual orders for online subscriptions
- Plan and execute effective travel throughout territory in a manner that is cost effective yet produces measurable results
- Promptly document all sales activity via Salesforce CRM and submit expense reports
- Ascertain and communicate field intelligence to home office
- Perform sufficient financial data-needs-analysis on each sales opportunity to recommend the correct data product
- Interact with home office colleagues including technical support, customer support services and related departments
- Submit weekly sales reports to manager and fulfill intermittent requests from home office
- Attend industry trade shows as scheduled (2 to 4 annually)
- Attend national and regional sales meetings as required (1 to 2 annually)
- Continually expand knowledge of insurance terminology, news and overall industry to support business development efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related area or discipline
- 5 to 7 years of business to business technical, consultative (software and/or online) sales experience
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales
- Insurance industry background preferred
