Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician I reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for managing all facets of a work station in which products are assembled for customer orders. This critical role ensures that these products are manufactured to engineering specifications with high quality to be delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and package sub-assemblies, accessories, and finished goods following quality-controlled work instructions.
- Schedule the build of product subassemblies or final assemblies based on due dates, priority, complexity, and work station capacity.
- Monitor and maintain established inventory levels for components of the work station, notifying proper personnel in a timely manner when quantities approach re-order points.
- Examine incoming components and subassemblies for functional or cosmetic defects, following established processes for isolating and managing non-conforming materials.
- Maintain standard production throughput rates and production quality control measures for each work station.
- Accurately maintain electronic and/or written records, transmitting all data related to a work order per company processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Ability to read engineering prints, follow work instructions, and implement a Quality Control plan.
- Capable of reading and understanding English.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to do fine assembly.
- Brief experience with computer systems.
