General Manager, Retail Property Management

Opportunity: Alvarez & Marsal Property Solutions (AM-PS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee a portfolio of premier retail and mixed-use commercial properties. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, well-capitalized commercial real estate services firm and play a pivotal role in building our third-party property management business in the NYC market.

Location: New York City – Midtown

Key Responsibilities:

·      Implement and execute strategies to enhance property value and meet client objectives

·      Oversee Tenant Improvement and Capital Improvement projects to ensure timely, on-budget delivery

·      Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, tenants, clients, and brokerage professionals

·      Collaborate with the accounting team to deliver accurate financial reporting, including annual budgets, CAM reconciliations, and monthly performance reports

·      Day to day operational responsibilities include property inspections, tenant relations, risk management oversight, lease administration, AR & AP responsibilities, vendor contracting, and vendor / staff management

·      Generally, to manage a portfolio of retail and mixed-use commercial properties for our clients, ensuring optimal performance and tenant satisfaction, and delivering the service at the highest level possible

What We’re Looking For:

·      5 years experience in property management, with demonstratable experience managing luxury retail assets and with project management oversight

·      Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

·      Proven ability to manage all aspects of commercial property operations independently

·      A creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

·      NY real estate license or ability to obtain one within 90 days
