Overview:
The responsibility of the Maintenance position is to provide our guests with the most comfortable and enjoyable experience during their stay. All facilities and equipment will be maintained in a manner consistent with their design and construction or better. This is an entry level position.
Responsibilities:
- Satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations by projecting a positive hotel image through proper grooming, appropriate verbal communication, and taking responsibility for guest needs.
- Reporting on time for each shift.
- Dressed appropriately in uniform and following grooming standards.
- Proper care and accountability for tools and supplies.
- Keeping records and logs as requested.
- Accounting for daily duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
- Room/Guest Calls.
- Cares/Preventative Maintenance.
- Painting.
- Snow removal.
- Garbage pickup.
- Cleanliness and proper maintenance of facilities.
- Ordering parts.
- Adhere to all guidelines in the employee handbook.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Aman resorts and encourage other staff to do the same.
- Must have minimum experience in a maintenance related field.
- Must be willing to work all shifts, including overnight shift, as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
- Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision.
- Sensitive to cultural nuances.
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work together with other colleagues and maintain professional working relationships. Any relationships that could potentially pose a conflict of interest should be disclosed to HR and may require a written disclosure.
