Description:
The Victim Services Therapist works with individuals, families, and groups, providing psychotherapeutic assessment, planning, and treatment interventions. The therapist will also collaborate with other members of the ACRC team to help clients establish safety and build resiliency.
Qualifications:
- Masters in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field, and be eligible for licensure
- Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English
- Experience and motivation to work with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of adults, children, and families who have experienced trauma and behavioral health challenges.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, with expectation to learn to use ACRC’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Up-to-date Professional Liability Insurance
- Training and experience with evidence-based models of treatment for mental health, trauma, substance abuse.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide in office and remote psychotherapeutic services to clients
- Facilitate group interventions with survivors of crime
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments
- Develop treatment plans with clients, identifying goals to address identified concerns
- Facilitate interventions that meet the needs of clients
- Evaluate progress towards goals and discuss with clients
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of client contacts and progress in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Develop safety plans when applicable
- Link clients to community resources, advocating for client access to needed supplemental services and making referrals when necessary
- Engage in professional development to learn best practices and models for evidence-based, trauma-informed behavioral health care and to achieve and maintain professional licensure status
- Meet weekly with clinical supervisor
- Communicate consistently with supervisors and fellow team members
- Participate in clinical team meetings and peer supervision
- Community Engagement
- Communicate with ACRC’s community partners, which may require occasional off-site meetings.

- 40 hours / week
- Limited flexibility outside of 9-5 Monday through Friday Needed
