Amargosa Opera House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal is to preserve and share the rich history of Death Valley Junction and Marta Becket with all those who visit the area. We are a hotel, but also a registered historical building that some would even consider a living museum. The age and history of our property coupled with our location at the edge of Death Valley National Park makes for a one of a kind guest experience for our patrons.
As a front desk clerk you will be our hotel guests' first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation- so a friendly, welcoming personality is a must. Our front desk agents also double as tour guides for the late, great Marta Becket's hand-painted Amargosa Opera House. Ultimately, you will help to create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Provide excellent guest service at all times
· Greet visitors and guests
· Give daily scheduled tours of the Amargosa Opera House
· Sell merchandise from the Gift Shop
· Check-in hotel guests, oversee check-out
· Answer all phone calls and manage phone reservations
· Manage online reservations and respond to email inquiries
· Work with Square point-of-sale system
· Provide local area information to our in-house guests and the general public
· Fulfill requests from guests i.e. providing extra towels, refreshing coffee station
· Keep the work environment and clean and tidy, sanitize common areas
· Be willing and prepared to help out occasionally with housekeeping duties
· Adhere to the AOH, Inc. Employee Handbook, policies & procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
