The Director of the Associate Degree Nursing Program provides strategic leadership and oversight for the ADN Program, ensuring academic excellence, regulatory compliance, and student success. This role collaborates with college leadership, faculty, and clinical partners to develop curriculum, manage resources, and enhance learning experiences. The Director recruits, supports, and evaluates faculty while fostering an innovative and student-centered nursing education environment. Additionally, this position oversees program accreditation, budgeting, and faculty workload, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing program operations, faculty development, and curriculum alignment
- Collaborating with the Dean of Nursing to drive student enrollment, retention, and graduation success
- Managing program budgets, faculty assignments, and clinical partnerships
- Ensuring compliance with accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies
- Leading faculty recruitment, professional development, and performance evaluations
- Enhancing student learning experiences through simulation, research-based teaching, and innovative clinical instruction
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or completion by May of 2025.
* Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas
EXPERIENCE
Required: Two (2) years or more of teaching experience in a professional nursing educational program or teaching in a clinical setting including but not limited to student supervision, mentoring, onboarding, etc.
Preferred: More than five (5) years of teaching experience in a professional nursing educational program.
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
