This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are seeking our next Treasury Analyst who will be all-in on our mission and who will perform activities related to cash flow, borrowings, investments, financial reporting, and forecasting. This position maintains timely and detailed records of all treasury activity for the college.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two (2) or more years of accounting / business / banking experience.
Preferred: Two-Three (2-3) years of experience in managing cash and cashflow and data analysis.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage account balances and cash flow.
- Analyze daily cash management reports.
- Identify treasury needs and/or optimal liquidity sources to ensure sufficient funds are available to cover operations and capital investments.
- Identify, resolve and escalate bank errors, positive pay exceptions and fraud related issues to ensure legitimate business transactions are clearing bank accounts.
- Prepare documents for Treasury activities such as wires, confirmations, borrowing notices, investments.
- Coordinate documentation for opening, closing, and updating corporate bank accounts and services, while maintaining current bank account registry and signatories.
- Prepare month-end accounting entries and maintain various supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Accounts Receivable/Payable.
- Support external and internal audit documentation requests.
- Develop, monitor and analyze bank fees including credit card and cash management expenses..
- Prepare investment documents monthly and submit to respective outside investment firm.
- Maintain positive banking relationships with depository banks.
- Efficiently manage, assess risk and predict future cash flow across bank accounts and investment pool accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary: Amarillo College follows a lag pay strategy, with starting offers typically between the minimum and midpoint of the pay grade, rarely reaching the maximum to support long-term growth within each position.
Pay grade 12 Amarillo College Pay Grades (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Working Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events if necessary.)
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, copy and fax machines, filing cabinets) and is in a high traffic area with continual interruptions. Software commonly used includes Microsoft Office, Colleague, and various other educational applications. Work may also be performed outside of the office and with little to no supervision.
