Amarillo Heart Institute is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk. This individual complies and maintains accounts payable by performing the following duties
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices
- Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolves invoice or payment discrepancies, insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issues stop-payments
- Completes check requests and entries for vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Replenishes petty cash by verifying documentation and records entry
- Assist with audit support as necessary
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers/vendors
