As the General Manager, you will elevate, innovate and lead the restaurant, wine sales, and events spaces. You will drive wine sales and wine club initiatives in the Bend market, as well as event sales initiatives, encompassing wedding receptions, social gatherings, corporate events, and private dining experiences.
Our Ideal Candidate :
- Education : A bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Years of Experience : 10 years of luxury restaurant management experience and prior experience managing a team of eight or more people.
- Proficiency in using standard software applications, including Office 365 and other winery-specific tools like Wine Direct, ShipCompliant, Vintrace, Innovint, etc.
- Must have a strong vision of brand positioning and understanding the sales and marketing requirements of ultra-premium luxury wine and restaurant experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of cultivating partnerships and vendor management, including negotiating, managing contracts, and operating a luxury business and / or restaurant.
Position Requirments :
Demonstrated experience working in the premier dining industry, including extensive knowledge of luxury wines as defined by the Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Advocate.Demonstrated experience with managing winery tasting rooms including sales coaching and strategy. The successful candidate will be able to provide specific leadership experience resulting in multi-year growth in wine club membership and tasting room sales.Advanced-level restaurant management, including hiring, managing, promoting, cost analysis, and reporting on all functions related to wine-tasting, restaurant, and bar.Exceptional leadership qualities, with experience guiding and developing a high-performing team.Commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, aligning with company values, and contributing to a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Excellent cost analysis understanding and execution for efficiency, quality assurance, and profitability.Position Responsibilities :
Oversee operations, to include tasting room, food and beverage, events, and wine club to produce exceptional membership and social experiences.Develop a comprehensive management plan for the wine-tasting and restaurant business, including managing contract partnerships.Drive wine club membership growth and strategically plan wine club events.Hire and maintain kitchen and service staff, create and maintain a leading restaurant environment that drives year-round customer traffic. Amaterra should strive to regularly rank among Bend’s top dining destinationsInterfaces with all the travel / tourism boards in Bend and Central OregonOversee and drive sales for the self-distribution of Amaterra wines to other local hotels, resorts and restaurants. Maintain key strategic accounts and provide reliable and friendly service.Participate in local community outreach efforts and events to strengthen Amaterra’s position in the local restaurant and broader Bend market.Lead the sales team to drive revenue producing private events to include corporate and social events, large party private dining and tastings.Collaborate with Central Office Marketing to strengthen branding efforts.Conduct weekly meetings with the staff to lead goals, solve current challenges, develop SOPs, and plan improvements.Develop and leverage community engagement networking to generate business / commerce.Build and maintain optimal workplace safety and risk protocols to protect personnel, property, and the environment.Lead, strategize, and teach financial business management to increase net operating income, optimize operational and payroll costs and adhere to budget constraints.Complete monthly inventory and sales forecasts to maintain optimal stock levels and prepare annual operational and capital budgets, justifying expenditures based on their expected return and impact on product quality.Regularly review budget variances and maintain property to keep assets operational.Benefits :
