Job Description:
As a Facility Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of our facilities, personnel, and assets. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle potentially sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the facility, including checking credentials and screening visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor security cameras and alarms to identify and respond to security breaches or suspicious activity.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
- Respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents or security threats, in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, activities, and observations.
- Provide training to staff on security protocols and procedures.
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to security.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in using security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and access control systems.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform security patrols and respond to emergencies.
- Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations and security requirements is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
