VIL2 - AMHM Lead Driver

ABOUT VIL2-AMHM OPERATIONS

AMHM will be launching operations at VIL2, the Skokie Sub Same Day delivery station on 7555 Linder Ave. Skokie, IL. The routes out of this station will be 4-hour blocks of 30-40 packages on each route, known as Amazon Flex routes. We will be driving smaller vehicles (Kia Souls). The start time for these routes will currently be at

1) 3 : 15am,

2) 8 : 45am,

3) 2 : 15pm (will be added later in the year)

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a lead driver, you will have the opportunity to lead an outbound operation, on a specified shift or across multiple shifts at VIL2.

One of your main focuses will be supporting and training our team to deliver quality service to our customers. To achieve this, lead drivers are creative problem solvers who can make quick decisions on time sensitive inquiries from drivers, Amazon contacts, and company management. Some of the positions key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Opening (including but not limited to route coverage, device set up, pouch prep, fleet availability, timecard management, etc.)
• Successful Load Out Completion
• Complete white glove or customer escalation deliveries
• Train Drivers, Deliver Routes, Sweep, Rescue, etc.
• On Road Driver Support with package inquiries, vehicle issues, injuries, emergencies, etc.
• Vehicle Support and Maintenance
• Tracking safety events for drivers
• Communicating drivers' performance with management
• Completing essential reports required by management
• Close Out
