Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Safety: Constantly monitor infants to ensure their safety and well-being. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including safe sleep practices and proper sanitation procedures.
- Feeding and Diapering: Prepare and provide feedings according to individual schedules, including bottles and solid foods as appropriate. Change diapers regularly and ensure each infant is clean and comfortable.
- Developmental Activities: Plan and engage infants in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, such as tummy time, sensory play, and music interaction.
- Comfort and Care: Respond promptly and sensitively to infants’ needs, including soothing, rocking, holding, and cuddling to provide emotional comfort and reassurance.
- Health Monitoring: Observe infants for signs of illness or discomfort, record changes in behavior or health, and communicate concerns to parents and supervisors.
- Record Keeping: Maintain daily records of feedings, diaper changes, naps, and developmental milestones to share with parents and for internal tracking.
- Parent Communication:*Foster positive relationships with parents through regular updates on their child's day, addressing concerns, and sharing developmental progress.
- Environment Maintenance: Keep the infant room clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Sanitize toys, equipment, and surfaces to prevent the spread of germs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure a smooth and supportive environment for all infants and maintain open communication with the daycare management.
Qualifications:
- TCC/Associates or CDA degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Preferred)
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool setting.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to work with children with special needs and provide individualized support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in providing first aid and basic care as required.
- Ability to create and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Experience with nannying and babysitting.
- A strong commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters growth and development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $8.25 - $9.50 per hour
