What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Mission Advancement position at Amazing Parish?
The Director of Mission Advancement will work closely with Tim Glemkowski, the Executive Director, to build and grow the mission of Amazing Parish/Vine Foundation.
After eleven years of fruitful work seeing pastors and parishes flourish with the accompaniment of the Amazing Parish team, we see bold visions and new opportunities in front of us to Gather, Coach and Inspire an international movement of healthy and effective leaders in order to renew and unlock the Church for mission.
As a member of our leadership team, along with the Director of Operations and Director of Coaching, you will share responsibility for the results of the entire organization while expanding and executing on a full development effort.
The Amazing Parish sees mission advancement as necessarily integrated into the full scope of the organization's strategy, not operating in a silo. This is not a development position where you are out on a limb, working alone to fundraise. You will have a highly engaged and competent board of directors and will work for an executive director who sees his first and primary role as chief fundraising officer. You will run the strategy for a fully operational development shop and manage up while securing small, major, and foundation support for our mission.
This mission is perfect for someone who loves relationships, has experience in running a development shop, can work at the pace of a growing organization and gets excited by the idea of raising support for a mission that truly matters and is making an impact in the Church.
