Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct daily inspections to monitor and document readings from essential electrical, mechanical, and fire / life safety systems, ensuring reliable operation around the clock.
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS).
- Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level issues in adherence to internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Perform rack installations and decommissioning in compliance with internal SLA.
- Engage in preventative maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Contribute technical documentation to support the change management process.
- Oversee daily work requests and ensure timely resolution, executing projects from start to finish.
- Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors, ensuring all activities align with our established guidelines and legal requirements.
- Be flexible with your schedule to accommodate site needs, which may include 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations.
- Support operations across multiple locations or sites as required.
Physical Requirements :
A Day in the Life :
In this role, you will serve as the frontline support for essential electrical and mechanical equipment, reporting to the Data Center Facility Manager. You will maintain and troubleshoot critical equipment such as diesel generators, electrical systems (including switchgear, UPS units, and PDUs), and various mechanical systems including cooling towers and air handlers. Additionally, you'll engage with fire / life safety equipment and general facility operations.
