Job ID : 2848836 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.The Automated Reasoning Group in AWS Cloud Operations is looking for an Applied Scientist to work on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and program analysis to automate the management of cloud compute resources, with an initial view towards reactive, incident-driven remediation, and a longer-term view towards preventative action taken. You will be part of a larger organization that develops tooling for managing a full range of cloud resources with an application-centric view.Each day, hundreds of thousands of developers make billions of transactions worldwide on AWS. Using automated reasoning technology and mathematical proofs, AWS allows customers to answer questions about security, availability, durability, and functional correctness. We develop automated tools and techniques for code synthesis and analysis.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS PhD, or Master's degreeExperience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journalsExperience programming in Java, C , Python or related languageExperience in any of the following areas : algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing3 years of building models for business application experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in professional software developmentWork / Life Balance We value work-life harmony.
