The Amazon Luna team is leveraging the power of the cloud to enable customers to stream AAA games on their existing devices. Luna represents an exciting and truly new product and business, with a high degree of innovation, and an opportunity to reach a large volume of passionate customers.
As a Software Development Engineer working on the core streaming infrastructure for Luna, you will get to combine your passion for gaming, AWS, and building scalable tech for the next generation of cloud gaming.

We're often breaking new ground as we work with low-level details of the Windows and Linux operating systems, Wine, and Proton. Much of our work involves convincing various stack components to perform tasks that they weren't originally designed for.
We are looking for an SDE that is excited to learn and build the next generations of our service. The successful candidate should be able to thrive in all phases of software development and be adaptable to work with a variety of technologies and development environments.

You will be part of the unique and gifted Amazon Luna team working on delivering exciting and innovative products and features to consumers. The Luna team is a multidisciplinary group of engineers, scientists, product managers and business people engaged in a fast-paced mission to deliver these products and features. The team faces a challenging task of balancing cost, schedule, technical invention, and performance requirements. You should be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, and contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating leadership and meticulousness. You should also be comfortable collaborating regularly with colleagues across many of Amazon’s current businesses and services.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Basic Qualifications
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Production experience with C and C programming languages.
- 3 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
