We are seeking a Special Programs Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in optimizing our company's internal and external transportation operations. You will be a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in logistics and transportation to not only manage day-to-day operations but also spearhead creative solutions to complex challenges. You will be a data-savvy individual, utilizing metrics and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement streamlined processes. You will work closely with various partner teams across the AMXL network to ensure all needs are met effectively. A critical aspect of this role is recognizing when issues require escalation. You will confidently analyze situations, determine the best course of action, and involve leadership when necessary to overcome significant roadblocks. We are looking for someone who is passionate about process improvement and enjoys tackling transportation challenges with innovative solutions.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute daily operations in the form of running various tools (Excel, VBA, Python based), send different reports, action SIMs submitted by the operations managers, communicate any escalations to partner teams, and problem solving for a rapidly growing network.
- Support continuous improvement of daily operations. Your feedback will be critical for as we grow this team and expand our AMXL operations across North America.
- Must be able to systematically escalate problems to the relevant stakeholders and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to convey updates on issues, operational status and business drivers during shift changes as needed throughout the activity cycle and during daily/weekly reviews.
- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying. activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met.

Our daily work requires constant communication with stakeholders, actioning ad hoc requests and escalating issues as they arise. You should be able to enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. You will be able to identify, solve, or escalate logistics barriers as well as possess a bias to get things done and deliver results while functioning as part of a team.
About the team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) obsesses over customers by offering a white glove service where we deliver TVs and other large items like furniture in customer homes. Not only do we deliver large parcels, we unpack, assemble, install and sometimes even do tests, hauling away old items as needed. We are currently in the process of building out a network that is poised for big growth in the coming years. The transportation network encompasses all of the operations required to deliver worldwide shipments to and from our fulfillment centers and third-party partners through a network of transportation service providers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with SQL
- 1 years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience
- 1 years of management experience
