DESCRIPTION
Transactional Storage and Config org builds platform solutions which are at the core of Amazon’s consumer and digital businesses. Our OLTP storage platform processes billions of transactions every day around the globe. We own multiple tier-1/mission-critical services fueling the growth of Amazon businesses to store customer orders, catalog and product information, shopping cart, Kindle device information, and hundreds of other business critical data-sets. The performance and availability of our platform is critical to the reliability of the Amazon brand. We run some of the largest fleets and the highest throughput services at Amazon. We partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to leverage technologies built for cloud customers, and to offer technologies we invent through AWS channels to the broader market.
We are looking for a Senior TPM to help drive the technical strategy and adoption for the storage engines that sit at the core of our platform. We're looking for someone with the desire and talent to learn a complex space and make an impact in a fast paced environment. In this role, you will work with high performing engineers, engineering leaders within and across orgs to define and deliver the future of storage for Amazon retail at hyper-scale.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
