About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to support our Hardware Design TPMs in driving engineering design deliverables, managing hardware component delivery, and creating development schedules.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of product development processes, familiarity with product design fabrication processes, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The Scope of Work and Deliverables for this TPM role involves managing the technical aspects of product development, from design to manufacturing, and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working towards common goals.
Job Title: Technical Program Manager III
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Hardware Design TPMs in coordinating and driving engineering design deliverables, including specifications, DOE, and validation plans
- Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines
- Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs
- Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams and leadership
- Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints
- Manage communication within and between internal cross-functional and external partners
- Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience working as a technology development program manager inconsumer electronics
- Experience working with overseas suppliers of hardware components
- Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models
- Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs
- Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes
- Adept at communicating, planning, with a high level of attention to detail
- Knowledge of program top issue tracking
- Experience operating across multiple teams and programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Prior experience in a hardware engineering role
- Experience working with a large number of cross-functional partners
- FAANG background preferred
Location: Remote [USA]
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $176,800 $228,800 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
