Job Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse position is responsible for assessing and administering medication to residents, reporting any changes in condition to the physician and charge nurse, updating family members, and assisting Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents while adhering to the 5 Rights of Medication Administration
- Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
- Notify the charge nurse of any changes in resident condition
- Assist CNAs with responding to call lights and other tasks as needed
- Update physicians, family members, and other relevant parties of changes in resident condition
- Perform additional duties as requested by management
Required Qualifications:
- Maintain an active Wisconsin LPN license
- Hold current CPR/BLS certification
- Prioritize accuracy and attention to detail in daily work
