Technical Drafter Role

Project Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Designer to assist in creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for various interior design projects. As a key contributor to the successful execution of our projects, you will work closely with designers, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of technical drawings and plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain technical drawings and plans for interior design projects.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of technical drawings and plans.
• Assist in the development of project files, including setting up page layouts and updating drawing placements.
• Create interior plan sets, including reflected ceiling plans, furniture and power plans, finish plans, and interior elevations.
• Translate designs into elevations, adding details such as base, casing, wall treatments, ceiling treatments, millwork, lighting, plumbing, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and InDesign.
• Proven work experience as a CAD Designer in an interior design firm.
• Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, ADA, and industry standards related to interior design.
• Ability to create accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and furnishings commonly used in interior design.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with designers, architects, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design and technical issues.
• 3D rendering experience is a plus.
