Job Description
The Operations Associate is accountable for the day-to-day investment and insurance operations for a successful and fast-growing financial services team. This person specializes in client service and maintenance for all investment and insurance accounts for SFG Wealth Management. The position is for someone with strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, and is reliable, task-oriented, and motivated in helping clients achieve their financial planning goals. The ideal candidate is constantly learning and applying knowledge to optimize processes and improve the client experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Be A Great Teammate
- Client Onboarding
o Account Opening including but not limited to
Preparing paperwork and sending for e-signature
Initiating incoming account transfers
Creating periodic asset movement instructions
Seeing account opening through completion
o Preparing insurance applications
Monitoring insurance applications as they move through the underwriting process
- Client Service – Investment Operations
o Account Maintenance including but not limited to:
Beneficiary Changes
Billing/Bank Changes
Name Changes/Updates
o Account Service including but not limited to:
Distribution & Contribution Requests
Journaling Funds between Accounts
o Trading:
Executing Mutual Fund, ETF & Stock Trades
Creating and Adjusting Systematic Trade Instructions
Modifying Asset Allocations on Advisory Accounts
o Annuity Service Requests
- Client Service – Insurance Operations
o Preparing and monitoring the workflow for insurance service requests including but not limited to:
Beneficiary changes
Billing Changes
Policy Loans
Policy Changes
o Working with Northwestern Mutual Home Office regarding complex insurance questions

o Maintain a team focused attitude and prepared to help wherever necessary
o Ability to communicate with clients of the firm
o Complete ad-hoc projects as needed
o One year experience in securities/financial planning industry preferred
o Bachelor’s degree is preferred
o Obtain the Life Accident & Health, SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 licenses within 2 years of employment
