Responsibilities
The maintenance technician provides support to production in the forms of: maintenance on fabrication equipment, development of preventative maintenance procedures, and participates in continuous improvement projects. This position will spend time working in an office and on the production floor scope for the position is all encompassing within the plant floor. The maintenance technician has the following specific areas of responsibility.
2. SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Performs assignments of a non-routine nature for which operational precedents are not fully applicable. Creates basic daily maintenance processes for fabrication equipment. Operate machine tools, troubleshoots and maintains fabrication equipment of diverse hydraulic, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical nature.
This may include:
- Setting up, operating and maintaining fabrication tools and machinery
- Participate in Engineering design reviews for new tooling and products
- Setup and fine tuning of production tooling
- Diagnosing automated paint system issues
Knowledge: Knows and understands:
- Project construction scope and objectives
- Amber Waves safety programs and objectives
- How to trouble shoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic systems
- Scope of welding and other construction trades used at Amber Waves
- Basic understanding of plural component paint and associated processes
- Understanding of wash chemicals and equipment

Qualifications:
Has a technical degree from an accredited trade school or experience including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, knowledge of pulse gas metal arc welding (GMAW-P), knowledge of industrial paint procedures, simple hydraulic & electrical systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
