DUTIES
The Commissioning Specialist directs and coordinates activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors :
- Responsible for all activities and equipment as assigned.
- Responsible for HSE performance, service quality and client satisfaction. Assures industry, client, DOT, company policies and procedures are adhered too. Assures compliance and enforces company policies and procedures.
- Holds personnel accountable through clear transparent communication and documentation.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task and meet internal and external deliverables in a timely manner.
- Assures coordination of all activities between client and superintendent.
- Maintains schedules and activities for equipment and workforce. Communicates daily with superintendent discussing all activities and concerns.
- Responsible for timely execution of T&M and lump sum projects. Responsible for HSE, service quality, client satisfaction, activity schedule, cost control and profitability.
- Responsible for timesheets (names, classifications, hours worked, cost codes), daily equipment timesheets and daily reports.
- Assures that requirements for materials in support of activities are given to the material coordinator and are used in an acceptable and necessary basis.
- Responsible for meeting established supervisor KPI's (audits, STEPBACK, MBWA, etc).
- Responsible for continuous process improvement and drive efficiencies to improve company HSE and service quality.
- Assures that equipment and small tool maintenance, servicing and repair is being performed according to company and DOT requirements.
- Assures equipment Work Orders are being completed and meeting fleet requirements and Federal DOT standards.
- Responsible for verifying any changes in fleet management requirements or DOT regulations.
- Reviews and assures accuracy of daily reports, specifically T&M projects.
- Works with superintendent to coordinate manpower level and craft definition with current and planned activities.
- Works with superintendent to coordinate equipment usage, types and quantities with current and planned activities.
- Develops and maintains an R & R schedule for personnel in coordination with current and planned activities and the project schedule.
- Conducts daily operations meetings and holds superintendent accountable for daily operations and crew management.
- Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work with superintendent; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Responsible for bringing all HR concerns to the Area and Project Managers attention immediately.
- Other duties as assigned.

VISUAL ACUITY : Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner. Ability to see and complete work on a personal computer and read color coded writing on equipment forms, etc.
LIFTING : Must be able to lift 20 lbs. from floor to waist, 20 lbs. from waist to shoulder height. Must be able to carry 20 lbs. for 20 feet.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to severe outside weather conditions. The Commissioning Specialist is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; severe outside weather conditions; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud depending on the project.
Safety training, supervisory and human relations seminars, and any other training related to the position is required upon hire.
