POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides technical support to end users. Installs and maintains the organizations client hardware and software. Troubleshoot problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
Responsibilities for IT Technician
Install and configure hardware and software components
Repair or replace damaged hardware
Upgrade systems to enable compatible software
Install and upgrade antivirus software
Travel to client sites
Perform tests on new hardware and software
Define software, hardware and network requirements
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Qualifications for IT Technician
Associates degree in computer science or engineering or related field, preferred
A and Network Certification, preferred
0-2 years of experience in a similar role
Experience troubleshooting systems
Skilled in software installation
Proficient with Windows OS
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Familiar with a range of software and hardware
Education
- High School or GED
Experience and Qualifications
