What are the responsibilities and job description for the Partnerships Lead position at Ambrook?
The opportunity
We grew from launch to 7-figure ARR in 2024 thanks to the might of generalists. Now, we're looking for a sharp specialist to be our founding partnerships lead – and build the channels that can scale us to 8-figure ARR and beyond.
Ambrook has built a well-rounded, world-class team. You would be the architect of our partnership ecosystem, owning the spectrum from strategic partner identification to tactical relationship management and revenue generation. You're a good fit if you get obsessed with identifying complementary businesses, structuring mutually beneficial relationships, and ultimately driving more qualified customers to Ambrook through trusted partners.
You would ideally come from a sales partnerships background, with strong product instincts. You'd build out our partnerships channels zero to one over the next 12 months. To start, this would include owning financial professional relationships at Ambrook – a core existing user segment with partnership channel potential.
\n- Own: Building and scaling our partnerships strategy, developing a multi-channel ecosystem that drives customer acquisition and retention.
- Teach: Partnership development best practices to cross-functional peers, empowering the broader team to identify and nurture valuable partner relationships.
- Learn: Ins and outs of building an agrifinance and climate tech company, including the nitty gritty of agricultural bookkeeping, the larger farm finance ecosystem, and natural resource management / ESG tie-ins.
- Take over our existing financial professional relationships, developing a structured approach to nurture and expand this core user segment.
- Create a comprehensive partnerships roadmap with clear KPIs and revenue targets.
- Establish deep relationships with your team and cross-functional peers.
- Audit and improve our workflows for partner onboarding, enablement, and success measurement.
- Familiarize yourself with Ambrook's product and our research notes and recording repository from user onboarding calls and customer discovery interviews.
- Embed yourself deeply in understanding the state of farm finance, building a strong intuition about partner needs and opportunity segments.
- Manage end-to-end partnership development, from prospecting to onboarding to success measurement.
- Partner with product and engineering to define and prioritize partnership integration opportunities.
- Drive a significant increase in customer acquisition through partner channels, implementing best practices from other partnership-driven companies.
- Launch at least one new strategic partnership category beyond financial professionals.
- Write about your experience and how you improved Ambrook's partner ecosystem, processes, and team culture in a post on Ambrook's company blog.
- Proven experience building partnership programs from the ground up with demonstrated revenue impact.
- Experience developing and managing relationships with financial professionals (CPAs, bookkeepers, financial advisors, etc.).
- Systems thinker who can adeptly discern the signal from the noise and understand how partnerships fit into the broader growth strategy.
- Strong product instincts with the ability to identify integration opportunities that create mutual value.
- Experience building partnership functions in ambiguous, high-growth situations, especially in the transition from pre- to post-hypergrowth.
- Experience in SMB SaaS, especially with product-led growth, sales-assist, and channel partner growth motions.
- Competency with CRM tools and partnership success metrics.
- Bonus: Experience in fintech.
- Bonus: Experience working in American industry – ag, trucking, construction, etc.
