Custodian - Maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Execute custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to promote hygiene.
• Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Engage in residential painting and minor repairs as needed to enhance the appearance of the facilities.
• Carry out commercial cleaning duties for various environments, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and request additional supplies as necessary.
• Follow established protocols for industrial cleaning processes when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is an advantage.
• Familiarity with custodial practices and safety standards in a facility setting is beneficial.
• Ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently within designated timeframes.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
