About the Company - Senior Environmental Engineer to oversee the environmental program at a site in the Lake Jackson area. This chemical producer is the US Market leader in their product. About the Role - This is a Senior Level Role which is expected to function without supervision. This is the environmental subject matter expert for the site and is expected to make decisions and recommendations which will establish the environmental program guidelines. It will oversee 1 staff member and will manage contractors and consultants. The role reports to the Site Manager and is open due to a retirement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies for Air, Waste and Water permitting and compliance
- Utilize leadership skills and experience to identify and close gaps in the program
- Drive continuous and systematic improvement in the environmental program
- Manage inspections, interact with regulatory bodies and manage reporting
- Manage air and water permitting knowledge including Title V
- Manage EHS contractors
- Oversee waste reduction, emission reduction and other environmental projects
Qualifications - BS Engineering or Sciences and 7 plus years of experience of environmental experience. Some Health and Safety experience is a plus.
Required Skills - Must have environmental permitting and compliance experience with Texas regulations and have experience in a chemical plant or refinery.
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
