We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Officers to provide support for our Operational Logistics Department. These are full time, ongoing positions currently based in Ballarat or Horsham (at times there may be a requirement to work at other AV sites in Victoria). About the role Reporting to the Fleet Operations Coordinator, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to :

  • Generate and maintain records using the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS)
  • Plan and allocate repair and service requirements within the AV workshop to ensure availability of vehicles
  • Provide input into procedures relating to vehicle maintenance as required
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained to AV service standards by referring to the specifically designed service schedule
  • Fit communication equipment & accessories such as radios / phones and provide base level repairs for these items About you To be considered for this position you will possess :
  • Motor Mechanic Qualification with minimum two-years' experience, diesel powered vehicles (highly desirable)
  • Analytical skills with the ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with periodic demands
  • Ability to develop an environment of co-operation to achieve optimisation of results
  • Commitment to ongoing training and keeping abreast of technical developments and changes within the industry
  • Basic computer experience with Microsoft based programs
