What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technician position at Ambulatory Surgery Center?

The Surgery Center of New England is seeking a 30-to-40-hour Radiology Technician. The person is responsible for providing radiology services for the center, utilizing flouroscopy with the C-arm. The RT assists the

consulting radiologist, Administrator, and Clinical Director in maintaining compliance for the radiology program at the

facility. Hours are 7am to 5pm, Monday through Thursday.

QUALIFICATIONS :

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited radiology technologist program.
Certified as radiology technician (AART)
CPR certification
Operating Room or Pain Procedure experience
ASC experience a plus
Two (2) years' experience in a healthcare setting performing fluoroscopy procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Effectively organizes time, equipment, and supplies.

Skilled use of equipment; accurately and appropriately.

Confirms proper radiology techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice.

Assists in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the

Utilizes appropriate shielding devices and techniques for the patient, physician, and staff in areas where fluoroscopy is used.

Demonstrates an attitude that is caring, respectful, sensitive, tactful, compassionate, empathetic, and tolerant.

Provides a safe environment for the patient.

TEAMWORK

Works collaboratively with healthcare team.

Exhibits high level of integrity.

Maintains flexibility and performs other duties as required.
