Job Summary: The Lamination Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining lamination equipment to produce high-quality laminated panels for baggage doors. This role involves preparing materials, setting up and operating machinery, monitoring production quality, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate lamination equipment according to production specifications and work orders.
· Prepare materials for lamination, including cutting, measuring, and aligning materials accurately.
· Monitor the lamination process to ensure quality standards are met, including inspecting finished products for defects.
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on lamination machinery to prevent downtime and maintain productivity.
· Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to company safety policies.
· Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
· Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of production targets.
· Assist with material handling, loading and unloading materials, and keeping the work area clean and organized.
· Identify and report issues related to equipment, materials, or production processes to the supervisor.
· Adhere to quality control procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
· Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company objectives.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in lamination or similar processes, preferred.
· Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
· Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools accurately.
· 2 years of lamination experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and pushing/pulling materials.
· Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
· Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
