- $19.50 - 26.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Fulfills requests to add or edit payor source, rate tables and service codes in a timely manner, including requests originating in the ServiceNow platform.
- Analyzes the payor source information to determine if the system is setup accurately for billing to occur per payor requirements.
- Research payor billing requirements and challenges inconsistencies that could result in claim submission errors or collection issues.
- Works closely with other departments to develop the most effective solutions for claim submission errors or collection issues.
- Assists with payor performance reviews to investigate claim submission errors or collection issues.
- Recommends process improvements for the payor file resulting from audit reports.
- Develops and maintains knowledge base of payor information and system functionality.
- Serves as general support for paid versus expected within the ancillary services department.
- Reviews paid versus expected data as assigned to identify claims not reimbursed as expected as well as the root cause.
- Tracks and resolves issues related to trended reimbursement.
- Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Home Health and Hospice billing and collections.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated research and analytical skills.
- Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed.
- Completes work with accuracy and within expected time frames.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three (3 ) years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle support
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on creating spreadsheets.
- Strong data entry and ability to type 45-50 WPM with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer service skills when responding to questions and other inquiries from internal and external customers.
