The Reservation and Sales Manager is responsible for reservation sales, property marketing, content creation, and optimizing the company's online distribution through various booking channels. This role maximizes revenue, occupancy, and guest satisfaction while ensuring properties are presented accurately and effectively across multiple platforms.
Reservations & Guest Experience
- Lead and manage the reservations team to provide exceptional customer service and maximize direct bookings.
- Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the reservations and sales process, ensuring a seamless and consistent guest booking experience.
- Train staff on guest engagement strategies, communication best practices, and SOP adherence.
- Ensure seamless booking experiences through direct communication, follow-ups, and guest relations.
- Develop and refine email templates, auto-replies, and website booking flow to enhance conversion rates.
Content Creation and Property Marketing
- Develop compelling, brand-aligned, SEO-keyword content for property listings, website pages, and marketing materials.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality photos, videos, and virtual tours for properties.
- Write engaging property descriptions that highlight unique selling points and guest experiences.
- Ensure the accuracy of property amenities.
- Manage the development and updating of guest guidebooks, blog posts, and email newsletters.
- Ensure all marketing materials align with brand voice and drive engagement.
Channel Management & Distribution
- Manage and optimize the company’s listings on multiple booking channels, including Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and direct booking websites.
- Ensure all property listings are accurate, visually appealing, and regularly updated with current photos, descriptions, pricing, and availability.
- Monitor booking trends and adjust property information to secure top search results.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 3 years of experience in marketing, property marketing, and channel management in the vacation rental or hospitality industry.
- Understand or be proficient in property management software (e.g., Streamline, Escapia, Guesty)
- Understanding of OTA platforms (Vrbo.com)) and direct booking strategies.
- Graphic Design proficiency.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
● Sitting – 70%, Walking/Standing – 30%. Required to stoop, bend, stretch, twist, and reach. Regularly lift to 25 lbs. Must be able to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
