Laundry Attendant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned and presented to the highest standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guests' experience in a hotel environment.

8am-4pm

Duties

• Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder linens and resident clothing
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store items according to established procedures.
• Inspect items for stains or damages before laundering and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
• Provide excellent service by ensuring timely turnaround of laundry items for guests and staff.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean effectively and efficiently.
• Experience in a long term care facility or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of laundering techniques is a plus.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and residents professionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
