Job Title: Floor Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Floor Manager to join our team at Amelia's By the Sea. As a Floor Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant’s floor, ensuring that service runs smoothly, efficiently, and up to the highest standards. You will be responsible for managing the front-of-house team, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers, ensuring that all team members provide excellent service.
- Coordinate the flow of service on the restaurant floor, ensuring that guests are seated promptly and service is delivered in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, resolve any concerns or complaints, and ensure that each guest has a positive experience.
- Train, coach, and mentor staff on customer service best practices, restaurant policies, and menu knowledge.
- Oversee the opening and closing duties of the restaurant floor, ensuring everything is set up and cleaned according to company standards.
- Assist in scheduling shifts for front-of-house staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and overall atmosphere on the restaurant floor.
- Ensure that health, safety, and sanitation standards are being followed by all team members.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless communication and timely service.
- Handle guest reservations, special requests, and VIP experiences with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking restaurant supplies, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring stock is maintained.
- Oversee the cash handling process, ensuring proper cash flow and adherence to procedures.
- Monitor the dining room during service, making adjustments as needed to improve guest experiences and service efficiency.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, and take action when needed to maintain the standards of the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a management or supervisory role in a restaurant, preferably in a high-volume or fine dining environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle guest concerns and complaints diplomatically.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including guest service, food and beverage, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality or related field is a plus..
