As a Floor Manager, you're responsible for managing daily operations of a Distribution Center to maximize productivity and meet daily operational goals.
This is an on-site position based out of our Cranbury Distribution Center.
A day in the life as a Floor Manager
- Manage effective labor plans to ensure proper staffing levels according to budgets for overtime, full-time and temporary labor
- Ensure productivity measurement standards are met
- Identify and resolves critical distribution issues for inbound and outbound processes
- Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for distribution center associates
- Perform safety observations in conjunction with job observations to coach and counsel associates on proper safety procedures
- Lead investigations for safety incidents and injuries by performing root cause analysis to remove future potential safety hazards\
- Oversee and implement company and OSHA guidelines and programs to contribute to a safe working environment for all associates
- Serve a backup for other floor managers as necessary
- Participate in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
What you’ll bring to the table…
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management System
- Computer skills, proficiency with Google applications, MS Word & Excel
- Strong time management, organizational, planning skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- Minimum 5 years distribution experience, 2 years supervisory experience
- Associate’s Degree in related field preferred
