Job Summary
The Front of House employee is responsible for greeting customers warmly upon entering, sharing descriptions about the pastries and other menu items, and making sure their needs are met by fulfilling orders, and operating the registers.
Front of House employees are the first point of contact for customers and are responsible for ensuring a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere. Employees are required to greet customers, describe pastries and all menu items in a patient and helpful manner, and fulfill all orders efficiently and accurately. FOH should be prepared to cross-train in other areas of the bakery as necessary. We are looking for team members with Open Availability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets and assists customers in a pleasant and helpful manner
- Exhibits outstanding customer service and maintains a positive attitude at all times
- Takes and fills orders for customers, in person, over the phone, and through online orders
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of menu and ability to communicate this knowledge to customers
- Answers customer questions about food ingredients and other aspects of the menu while verifying that customers who have communicated food allergies are not sold products that could be dangerous to their health
- Keeps work area sanitary by mopping floors and wiping counters; immediately cleaning up any spills; following correct handwashing and glove procedures
- Ensures dining room, pastry cases, bathrooms, and all counters areas remain clean and tidy

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand on your feet for several hours
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Ability to place cases, pans, utensils, and plates on both low and high shelves
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
