What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop Support position at Amer Technology, Inc?
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Typical county systems include a mix of desktops and laptops, and many of the following functions, including but not limited to jail management systems, booking, court records systems, computer aided dispatch, payroll, appraisal district systems, tax and records, financial systems, remote access systems, and other relevant local government systems.
Additionally, the Desktop Support Technician should be familiar with the following functions:
- Install and configure computer software, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues quickly and efficiently.
- Set up computers and other office equipment for employees.
- Provide steps to help internal users resolve technical problems.
- Maintain technical support procedures and reports.
- Create accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
2 years - Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations.
2 years - Skill in the support of computers, in the use of applicable programs and systems, and in troubleshooting information systems.
2 years - User/Account management and creation.
2 years - Knowledge of computer re-imaging, configuration, and deployment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
