Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires adherence to safety regulations and operational procedures, ensuring that all tasks are performed with precision and care.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks, to move, load, and unload materials safely within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking and ensure accurate inventory management using RF scanners.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety standards at all times.
• Assist in building pallets and preparing products for shipment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues promptly.
• Follow warehouse management system protocols for tracking inventory levels and movements.

Experience

• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and safety regulations is essential.
• Experience with order picking processes and using RF scanners is a plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems will be beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Forklift: 2 years (Preferred)
• Warehouse Worker: 2 years (Preferred)
