We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize an RF scanner and warehouse management system to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain organization within the storage areas.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with materials handling as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficient in operating forklifts, including order pickers and cranes.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
- Experience with RF scanners for efficient materials handling.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to forklift operation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required.
