What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cancer Tumor Registrar position at Amergis?
The Cancer Tumor Registrar is responsible for managing thecancer registry function and/or provides services after establishing baselineoperating status in compliance with government standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Certified Cancer Registrar (CTR) preferred
- 2 years of cancer registry experience in hospital, Regional Registry or clinical research setting
- Knowledge of the Commission on Cancer Standards Vol. I andII preferred
- Knowledge of North American Association of Central CancerRegistries Standards preferred
- Maintains certification and NCRA membership, as well asappropriate state association memberships as required by state and/or contract
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge and experience of Cancer Registry softwareprograms(s) preferred
