Will be working with EBD students / 1-2 schools per day
40 hours per week
The School Counselor / School Mental Health Worker providescounseling to students in need of counseling and / or support with their mentalhealth needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provides necessary counseling as required for the studentand / or as outlined in the students IHP
- Evaluates the students psychosocial needs, and evaluatesthe progress
- Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate goalsfor each student
- Implements and manages school guidance programs
- Utilizes a variety of therapy techniques and treatmentplans
- Works with students in individual, small group and / orclassroom settings
- Facilitates student learning involving life skills,organization techniques and time management
- Assists students with creating an academic plan for theireducation
- Adheres to Amergis and District policies and procedures
