Who We Are Looking For: 

​We are looking for a Recruitment and Enrollment Manager who will work closely with regional program teams to lead student recruitment and enrollment year-round. The ideal Recruitment and Enrollment Manager is excited about sharing AOT’s opportunities and is able to ensure a seamless student experience from application to graduation.

The ideal candidate is able to balance systems and big-picture thinking with the operationalization of tasks and an eye for detail.

 

The Recruitment and Enrollment Manager will report to the National Director of High School Programs. 

 

Key Responsibilities:


Digital Recruitment and Enrollment:

  • Design and implement digital recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of high school students for AOT programs across Los Angeles, Miami, and Atlanta which include email campaigns/outreach, virtual information sessions, etc.
  • Manage the entire enrollment process, including application review, communication with applicants, and ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective students and families, addressing inquiries and providing guidance throughout the enrollment process.
  • Develop and maintain an engaging online presence through social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms to promote AOT programs.
  • Analyze enrollment data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce to track recruitment and enrollment metrics, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.


Support for Regional Teams:

  • Collaborate with regional program teams to understand their specific recruitment needs and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Identify and recommend in-person recruitment opportunities in each region, such as school visits, community events, and partner engagements.
  • Provide materials, training, and support to regional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding in all recruitment efforts.
  • Serve as a liaison between the national and regional teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Attend Miami-based in-person recruitment activities as needed, including school visits, community events, and partner engagements.


Recruitment Strategy and Evaluation:

  • Develop and execute an annual recruitment and enrollment plan, aligned with organizational goals and regional program needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment and enrollment progress for leadership, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed on trends in student recruitment and enrollment to bring innovative approaches to AOT’s processes.


General and Cross-Functional Support:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content and campaigns to support recruitment goals.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure recruitment efforts are integrated with broader organizational initiatives.
  • Support other recruitment or program-related projects as needed to meet organizational objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
  • At least 3 years of experience in student recruitment, enrollment management, admissions, community outreach, or a similar role.
  • Experience working with high school students and/or in an educational or nonprofit environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using data systems or CRMs (preferably Salesforce) to track and analyze recruitment and enrollment data.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, families, and community partners.
  • Skilled in public speaking and presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including students, families, schools, and community organizations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to operationalize tasks.
  • Ability to develop and implement creative, solutions-oriented recruitment strategies tailored to diverse student populations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace tools.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., email campaigns, social media) is a plus.
  • Passionate about the potential of students and inspired by AOT’s mission and values.
  • Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sensitivity to and respect for diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities, with a commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Openness to feedback, learning, and continuous improvement in recruitment and enrollment practices.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate recruitment events and program schedules.
  • Able to commit to a hybrid work schedule which currently entails 1 required full day/week in office in addition to other in-person programming needs (in-person program sessions, recruitment events, program events, etc.).
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish is preferred but not required.
