Job Title: Outreach Coordinator / Corporate Representative
Location: Fresno, CA
Program: Empowering Rural Families with IDD
Salary: $26 hourly during probationary period, then $55,000 annual salary
Summary: The Outreach Coordinator / Corporate Representative will lead efforts to connect farmworker and rural families with individuals with intellectual and development disorders to critical Central Valley Resource Center (CVRC) services, particularly employment opportunities. This role involves community outreach, building relationships with stakeholders, guiding families through the service enrollment process, and supporting current clients in accessing resources. The Coordinator will also ensure program compliance, document outreach activities, and advocate for inclusion and self-sufficiency within underserved communities. This position requires regular travel to rural communities, partner organizations, and outreach events.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct targeted outreach to farmworker and rural families with transition-age youth and adults with IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities).
- Educate individuals and families about the services available through CVRC, with an emphasis on employment services.
- Regularly travel to rural communities, partner organizations, and outreach events to effectively support program initiatives and engage with participants.
- Assist current CVRC clients and families in navigating and utilizing services, including developing strategies for employment and accessing other critical resources.
- Guide non-CVRC clients and families through the enrollment process, providing step-by-step assistance as needed.
- Build relationships with key community stakeholders, including employers, schools, community-based organizations, and referral sources.
- Represent the program at community events, workshops, and partner activities to increase awareness and participation.
- Collaborate with the CVRC diversity coordinator and employment specialist to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
- Leverage social media, radio programs (e.g., La Cooperativa’s "Voice of the Fields"), and other outreach tools to engage the community.
- Track and document outreach efforts, such as sign-in sheets, participant information, and surveys assessing increased awareness and service utilization.
- Provide one-on-one support to individuals and families, ensuring their confidence in accessing available resources and employment opportunities.
- Identify and secure employment opportunities for individuals with IDD by establishing relationships with employers and industry organizations.
- Maintain detailed records of outreach activities and participant progress, contributing to program reports and data analysis.
- Uphold program policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all requirements and guidelines.
- Monitor participant engagement and address barriers to service utilization, such as language barriers or lack of access to transportation.
- Advocate for the values of inclusion, employment, and self-sufficiency for individuals with IDD in rural and farmworker communities.
Requirements
- Mandatory 4-year degree
- 1-3 years of experience teaching and/or facilitating group workshops, OR
- 1-3 years of experience working one-on-one with clients/program participants
- Must be able to regularly travel to rural communities, partner organizations, and outreach events
- Must be able to pass the Social Security Administration Suitability Process background investigation
- Ability to establish norms and expectations while deescalating conflict as needed
- Bilingual speakers, especially Spanish and Hmong speakers, highly encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills
- Understanding of workforce development, employment services, and adult education a definite plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, CRMs (i.e. Salesforce), and video call software preferred
- Passion for and experience working with special and at-risk populations, including public assistance recipients, justice-involved individuals, persons with mental and/or physical disabilities, and individuals experiencing homelessness
