Job Title: Program Supervisor
Location: Fresno, CA
Program: Empowering Rural Families with IDD
Salary: $33 hourly during the probationary period, then $70,000 annual salary

Summary: America Works of California, Inc. is looking for a Program Supervisor to manage the scope of work, oversee daily operations, and collaborate with partner agencies and organizations for a program aimed at helping farmworker families and rural residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities connect to supportive and employment-related services. Their primary focus will be on creating a supportive environment to educate individuals and their families on effectively accessing and utilizing the full range of services offered by the Central Valley Regional Center (CVRC), with a special emphasis on employment-related services.This position requires regular travel to rural communities, partner organizations, and outreach events.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day program operations while reporting to the Director, ensuring smooth and efficient management of all activities.
  • Supervise and monitor the daily activities of program staff, partners, and participants to ensure alignment with program goals and outcomes.
  • Provide direct interaction and support to underserved individuals, focusing on helping farmworker families and rural residents with transition-age youth and adults with IDD become self-sufficient through employment.
  • Regularly travel to rural communities, partner organizations, and outreach events to effectively support program initiatives and engage with participants.
  • Uphold and implement policies and procedures while training staff as necessary to maintain compliance and high standards of service delivery.
  • Set, review, and monitor performance goals for program staff, providing ongoing guidance to ensure targets are met and addressing any challenges or barriers that arise.
  • Conduct community outreach to promote program awareness, develop resources, and identify training and employment opportunities for individuals with IDD and their families.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, referral sources, schools, and industry organizations to create pathways for education, training, and employment.
  • Organize and attend community events, workshops, and one-on-one outreach efforts to inform and assist participants in navigating CVRC services, with a focus on overcoming language and cultural barriers.
  • Facilitate connections between program participants and CVRC services, assisting families and individuals with the enrollment process and strategizing on employment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, public agencies, and industry organizations to identify and secure worksite employment opportunities for individuals with IDD.
  • Evaluate and compile program data, including participant outreach efforts, increased awareness of CVRC services, and employment outcomes, and ensure accurate documentation through participant sign-in sheets and surveys.
  • Conduct internal audits of program files to verify compliance with required documentation and maintain organized records.
  • Prepare program outcome and progress reports for stakeholders, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
  • Promote the importance of employment as a critical aspect of self-sufficiency and community integration for individuals with IDD, emphasizing its role in improving quality of life.
  • Identify and address barriers such as lack of familiarity with CVRC services, language challenges, and geographic isolation, tailoring program approaches to meet the unique needs of farmworker families and rural communities.
  • Support and empower program staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure participants are equipped to fully utilize the range of CVRC services available to them.

Requirements

  • Mandatory 4-year degree
  • 4-6 years workforce development and/or social services experience
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be able to regularly travel to rural communities, partner organizations, and outreach events
  • Must be able to pass the Social Security Administration Suitability Process background investigation
  • Understanding of or previous experience with case management, employment services, and adult education a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and CRMs (i.e. Salesforce) preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment and strong organizational
  • Strong relationship-building and customer relations skills
  • Passion for serving individuals from disadvantaged and underserved populations, including but not limited to public assistance recipients, justice-involved individuals, persons with physical and/or mental disabilities, and individuals experiencing homelessness

Salary : $70,000
