What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmologist for busy Level II Trauma Center, 30 minutes to Tahoe position at American Academy of Ophthalmology?
Renown Health, Northern Nevada's largest and only not-for-profit locally governed healthcare network, is seeking a General Ophthalmologist to join our highly successful medical group.
The ideal candidate will have completed a Glaucoma Fellowship.
The physician will treat adults (18 ) and can expect to manage early-stage glaucoma with drops and laser, perform more advanced glaucoma surgery (if desired), as well as basic retina lasers and some cornea refractive surgery.
The successful candidate will join our physician-led medical group. The incumbent will be the division's first General Ophthalmologist under the Department of Surgery, working in the outpatient clinic Monday – Friday.
Renown Health and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are affiliate partners in Nevada's first integrated academic health system, aiming to improve the health of the community, region, and state through research, medical education, and expanded clinical care. Renown physicians participate as joint faculty at UNR Med for teaching, lectures, supervising clinical rotations, and other academic activities for the education of medical and physician assistant students, residents, and fellows.
