What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Assist APP for Surgical Oncology at Level II Trauma Center, 30 minutes to Tahoe position at Renown Health?
Renown Health, Northern Nevada's largest and only not-for-profit locally governed healthcare network is seeking a Surgery Oncology First Assist APP with specialty focus on Endocrine.
Minimum of 2 years’ Surgery Assist experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be treating patients with tumors and cancers that affect the Thyroid, Parathyroid, adrenal glands and Pancreas. First Assist Certification is required.
The Surgery Oncology APP will provide First Assistance on all surgeries, evaluate patients, prep/post Op procedures, and have dedicated Outpatient Clinic time.

The affiliation aims to improve the health of the community, region, and state through research, medical education, and expanded clinical care. Renown physicians participate as joint faculty at UNR Med for teaching, lectures, supervising clinical rotations, and other academic activities for the education of medical and physician assistant students, residents, and fellows.

Position Highlights
- Monday – Friday, 7 am to 5 pm
- Daily rounds in the hospital
- Outpatient Clinic- new consults and post op follow up appointments
- Call shared with other Surgery Oncology APPs – 1:4
